The State Library is showing images from the World Press Photo winners of 2003. The exhibit starts today and runs till the 25th July 2004.
On Thursday the 1st July at 6-9pm there’s a special evening viewing:
For the first time the State Library’s Galleries will be open to the public after hours for a special viewing of the World Press Photo exhibition. The exhibition presents the cream of international photojournalism for 2003, including six award-winning Australian photographers.
World Press Photo winner Tim Clayton from the Sydney Morning Herald will give talks about his winning shots in the sports and arts sections and on the importance of the World Press Photo competition to professional photographers. In association with the exhibition World Press Photo.
They’ll be giving away a Canon camera on the night. And seeing as the night is sposored by James Squire i wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some free booze.
