The next batch of Big Day Out photos are from The Subways, Faker, Youth Group, Gerling, The Greenhornes and more.
That fella above who looks a bit like a hippy version of Clark Kent as played by Brendan Fraser is actually the drummer from The Greenhornes. They failed to really grab me, but his other project, drumming for The Raconteurs, featuring Jack White on vocals has got a lot of buzz lately.
Some of my Big Day Out photos are now featured on the Spin.com homepage and in their own gallery. Stoked.
And while i’m tooting my own horn i’d just like to say thanks to the people that voted this the Best Australian Photoblog. You rule whoever you are.
Congrats again on the Spin work! But isn’t that the bass player of The Greenhornes? He wasn’t behind the drums once at the sideshow.
I was just checking back catalogues I have of Uncut mag and Mojo and their live shots suck ass compared to these. It’s just a matter of time dude.
James – thanks man. It would be pretty sweet to get my stuff in those mags.
Sean – upon further investigation, i think you’re right. That’s odd though, the two songs i watched them play it was just him and a guitarist, and he played drums.
OK cool. I thought I was going a bit nuts there. Have you heard the Raconteurs stuff yet?
Just the two tracks on their site. Good stuff – but not setting my world on fire.
Not to be a nag, but the guy in the picture you said plays drums for the Greenhornes is actually Jack Lawrence, He’s the bass player for the Greenhornes, as well as the Raconteurs. Don’t know why he’s on drums there, That’s Patrick Keeler’s job!
