So i shot the Big Day Out yesterday and it was as awesome as i was expecting. My body is somewhat broken after lugging a heavy camera and gear for almost 12 hours in the heat. But it was well worth it.
I haven’t sorted through my music photos yet, but here’s a few from the Triple J broadcast of the hottest 100 which i gatecrashed to find a power outlet to recharge my batteries.
Triple J newsreader and old pal of mine Michael Turtle popped by to tease the audience with an announcement that cheesy french pop tune Ghostbusters by Michael Turtle got the number one spot.
But Bernard Fanning was the real winner – with Wish You Well getting the number one spot. And wasn’t he happy about it.
The Wolfmother lads did particularly well too with 6 songs in the top 100.

The Big Day Out was lots of fun, though I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many bogans and boobs in one place.
I still maintain I was robbed – Ghostbusters is the bomb.

I’ve been hanging out for them since yesterday. Although I did realise you wouldn’t upload them the second you took them but still…I hoped.

I wanted to take my camera to Melbourne BDO yesterday but the heat and craziness stopped me – I feel really sad now (although I did have my crappy click click. Can’t wait to see more of yours!~
