Playing a concert on a rooftop is one of the great rock’n’roll traditions. Pioneered by The Beatles, emulated by U2, and last night continued by Cut Off Your Hands.
Playing on the roof of the AM Eyewear office building in Darlinghurst it was a farewell gig of sorts for their guitarist Mikey Ramirez. It was his last ever performance with the band before retiring to quiet married life in Auckland.
The band aren’t letting up though, starting late February they’re embarking on a North American tour playing loads of shows with Ra Ra Riot and Passion Pit.
Damn, this looks great. Maybe I should’ve skipped my bus back to Canberra after all.
i saw you there and thought to myself ‘wow he is going to get the most amazing shots’. you definitely did not doubt.
