The Scare week continues (previously No Money video, AMP ceremony) with these snaps i took of the band at The Annandale.
They’re part of a bigger project i did last weekend, shooting band portraits backstage during My Filthy Riot. I set up a mini-studio, taping a gray backdrop to the wall and lighting with a softbox. I shot about 20 bands all in that way, quick shoots over in less than a minute.
I’ll post more once i sort through them.
It’s good to see The Scare in good spirits and optimistically looking forward. They’ve been doing the hard slog for years and previously seemed on some downward spiral to disintegration. No longer.
They’re one of the first bands i photographed live, before i even owned an SLR camera.
This is a snap from Spectrum in 2004.
And this from Homebake 2005, the first festival i ever had proper accreditation to photograph.
wow cool set up for a photo booth =)
The Scare is so animated xx
niceeeee one
The expression on the girls face on the right side of the frame in the photo from the Spectrum is priceless. I bet she thought she’d be married to that guy by now.
hey just curious was daniel johns at the show i was wondering if he would go and watch them and give them tips or whatever ? lol
