Here’s the third and final day of my FasterLouder Splendour Studio photos.
One of the highlights was a chance photo opp with jónsi. Although we’d requested a photo with him, we’d been knocked back and he wasn’t on our official schedule. But i saw him wandering backstage, doing a photo with Harpers Bazaar. So i approached his minder and asked if he could fit us in, and thankfully he said yes.
When i showed him our table of props he was immediately drawn to the head dress, saying it was similar to the one he wears on stage. To add another element to the shot i asked if he’d blow some confetti out of his hands.
It was a lovely chance photo, and made up for Richard Ashcroft cancelling his scheduled photo that day.
And so that’s that for the Splendour Studio photos. You can recap on day 1 and day 2.
It was such a fun and rewarding photo gig. Much credit is due to FasterLouder for having the idea in the first place and seeing it through. It’s a very positive move to see a music publication, especially an online one, investing in well produced original photography.
Particular thanks to Sarah, Tim and Anthony from FasterLouder for being such legends. Thanks to Elleni for assisting me so valiantly and Vikki for loaning a bag of kooky props and accessories.
The picture of Jonsi is very cool done!
Some nice/funny ideas in the other pictures 🙂
