Another Australia Day, another Big Day Out in Sydney. My 9th year photographing it, with many more times attending it as a punter.
While it’s sadly been carrying the “beleaguered” adjective of late for a line-up change, lower than anticipated ticket sales and business shuffling behind the scenes – it was still a day of very impressive performances.
Most notably in my mind were Arcade Fire, a band that later this year are headlining days at Coachella and Glastonbury, this was their first major outing after releasing their new record.
