Look who we’ve got here! Finally unleashed are my shots of INXS that were taken all the way back in April.
Apparently one of them was on the cover of Inpress in Melbourne last week. I haven’t managed to see a copy for myself yet.
I’m told Drum Media in Sydney will feature my INXS photo on the cover this week. I’m rather nervous about it. And i’m still pinching myself that i got to do a photoshoot with INXS, and that the photos are ending up on two different magazine covers.
After Drum’s on the street i’ll post a bunch more from this session.
If your last name is Farris you have to wear sunnies. What’s with that? Are they trying to disguise their wrinklies?
I knew these guys a bazillion years ago, its so weird seeing them now looking all jowly & weatherbeaten. Particularly Jonny Farris who was so very very pretty.
Why oh why didn’t they chuck it in when Michael died…. well before Michael died actually….
They really were a spectacularly good rock band in their time, i wish i could just remember them that way.

Sorry i’d just like to clarify my earlier post to explain that while i said the INXS members look “jowly & weatherbeaten” (except JP or JB or whatever his name is) this should not be taken to mean they are not looking good in any way shape or form.
They are men of an age is alls i was saying (i am a woman of proximal age and often ponder the same passing of time on my own visage) and in these pics they are appearing as such in an extremely hott manner because (amongst other reasons) they have been photographed so very, very well.

Yup, I agree about the sunglasses. Ashame they couldn’t take the sunglasses off … we all know they are old guys. Which doesn’t matter … accept to them I guess. Too bad.

Morgan – i sympathise. It’s sad seeing our young idols age. Like others i’ve thought it crass for INXS to continue, and to recruit a new singer via a reality TV show. At the same time, i think it’s kinda cool that they’ve not just given up, got fat and left rock’n’roll to the youngsters. There’s something to be said for aging disgracefully 🙂
Amanda – i did have to direct them a bit. Otherwise they just sat there looking bored. JD was actually very good in this respect, always mucking around, pulling poses, making the other guys laugh. Cybele was there too and she helped perk them up.

Olivia – no, i’m not shooting WAS tonight. I’d like to, but nobody asked, and i’m not that much of a fan to buy my own ticket.

why should it be sad, guess what young’uns, it’ll happen to all of you too, kudos to the band for ignoring the naysayers and critics and doing what makes ’em happy, we should all likewise – and their music and concerts makes lots of people happy

I’ve been at their concert in Zagreb couple of days ago. Just loved them!They are the best! I doubt they will return to Croatia any time soon. How am I going to make it without them?!

Ive met INXS and JD and they are all so down to earth. I love these guys.
