Tom Morello of Audioslave

Tom Morello of Audioslave

Last night i went to a listening party for the new Audioslave album Revelations. We were told we were amongst the first couple of hundred people in the world to hear it, it’s not getting released till September.

The press material quotes Tom Morello describing the album as "Led Zeppelin meets Earth, Wind and Fire," and a "big hard rock record with a funky bottom." It sure ain’t disco, but it does have the groove that Audioslave and Rage Against The Machine fans would recognise.

SonyBMG flew out Tom Morello for the occasion and i had the opportunity to take a few snaps. He was very easy going but i couldn’t help be star struck. I was an impressionable 16 year old when i first saw Rage Against The Machine 10 years ago at the Big Day Out plus their sideshow at The Hordern. And i’m sure anyone who’s ever picked up an electric guitar has puzzled over the sounds he creates.
