Back in August i had Cloud Control in the studio, and after doing some band photos i thought it would be fun to experiment a little at the end of the session.
I singled out lead singer Alister and asked the make up artist to draw a lightning bolt over his face, like David Bowie’s classic Aladdin Sane album cover.
It’s an homage that’s been paid time and again – from Kate Moss to Lady Gaga.

Great shots Dan, seems they’re moving up in the world. From the sydney uni band comp when I met them/played the semi-finals with them, from my shoot with them (their first) to being shot by you, all big steps… wonderful.
