A new issue of Time Out Sydney is on newstands now featuring a cover shoot i did with renowned patissier Adriano Zumbo.

He was a pleasure to shoot and up for anything.

A suggestive question of “how many macarons do you think you could fit in your mouth?” lead to the cover shot.

A question of “do you mind if i smash a macaron on the back of your head?” lead to the lead image of the feature.

Taking someone’s photo is a rare privilege in that you can ask people to do such odd things and they sometimes agree.

Such as when i asked Ms G’s chefs Jowett Yu and Dan Hong, “do you guys mind standing on this dining table on one leg and pretend to squirt me with chili sauce?”

Less weird but fun for me was this portrait  to accompany an interview with Bryan Brown, who is heading back to the theatre for a new play called ZEBRA!.
