Over the years of shooting pictures for Time Out i’ve learned to adapt to any situation and be prepared for the unexpected.
Turning up to this shoot i knew very little – it was for a story about a performance called Cut Snake, there was going to be a real snake and we were shooting at someone’s home in Summer Hill.
I walked in to the suburban home to find a guy in nothing but sequinned budgie smugglers, a girl painting on a moustache and another girl putting the finishing touches to her fake lashes.
Ridiculousness ensued as we goofed around in the backyard with the snake and whatever paraphernalia was at hand.
I still have no idea what Cut Snake is about, but if the performance is half as fun as the shoot was it’ll be hilarious. It plays Bondi Pavilion March 12-23rd.
Looks great. Sunlight is not my friend as I cannot figure out how to make it not so bright. I do better in situations where most people would complain it is too dark, precioussss.
I agree – i’m usually more comfortable shooting indoors. For this i had a couple of my studio lights to help match the sun and counter the harsh shadows.
